Happy Thanksgiving! And A Video, Too!

I decided to post a Thanksgiving video today.  I really have no idea why, except that I was playing around with my computer’s camera and it seemed like a brilliant idea.  It’s probable that I won’t agree tomorrow, but whatever!

So if you feel like watching it, here ya go (don’t worry, it’s short):

Oh, and yeah, that’s my normal, curly hair.  I am virtually never as fancy as that picture I have up of myself.  But Janie Junebug told me to do it and I will forever listen to Janie’s advice 🙂

If you don’t feel like watching it, no worries!  The written word is still the highest currency here.  So for those of you in the United States, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I hope you are enjoying yummy food and even better company.  And for those of you that don’t celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to have a blog and to be able to express myself through writing.  And I am even more thankful for everyone I’ve ‘met’ through doing this!  So many lovely friends, all for me!

Now off I go to deliberately stuff myself beyond any measure of comfort.  It makes no sense, but that’s just the way we do things round here.

    • Thanks! Unfortunately, we always seem to want the opposite of what we have. I mean, I mostly like my hair now, but when I was in high school, I just remember getting so pissed that it was straight and glossy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I’m stuffed like a turkey.

  1. Your hair is naturally curly? Why the heck did you straighten out those curls for your picture? You look cuter than Shirley Temple!

Would you mind doing another take of your video saying “Happy Thanksgiving to everybody that celebrates it, and to those that don’t, kiss my ass.” That would keep me laughing until Christmas!

    • Ha ha, thanks. Well, it’s funny, because there are so many people that think I look better with straight hair. In fact, the women at my work nag me about it, saying I should straighten it all the time. But I’m like, ‘nuh uh.’

And your second line literally made me LOL 🙂

  2. Look at you moving and talking like a real person!?! I thought we were all bots programmed with pithy reply algorithms. At least I am. Hopefully you had a happy Thanksgiving and your marshmallow topped sweet potatoes were delicious. I too like your naturally curly hair.

    • Well, it COULD be CGI (is that the right acronym? I’m too lazy to check), although, if it was, I would have made myself much more gorgeous and captivating, ha ha.

Yay, another in favor of the curly hair! I’m going to tell my coworkers to suck it, lol.

  3. So much awesome going on in that video, but mostly because of you. 🙂 I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving and I’m so proud of you for partaking and enjoying what is the traditional Thanksgiving feast. I hope you saved me some marsh-mellow topped sweet potatoes (one of my favorites!).

    • That’s so nice, thank you 🙂 And yes, I most certainly did partake. Also, sorry, there was not even a smidge of sweet potatoes left in the dish…and it may or may not have been my second helping that finished them off 🙂

  4. Your…. “crazy family’s house”? Oops did I just quote you? I did, didn’t I? How rude. But I bet you meant crazy-fun, right? Right? Haha Well, that sure was a fun video. Love the hair, and I hope you all had a wonderful time together.

  5. “If you don’t feel like watching it, no worries”? We need to teach you to sell yourself, especially if you’re gonna be selling books one day.

    • Yeah, he was THRILLED to be forced to sit on the couch and be in the video, ha ha. He barely tolerates me sometimes, as you can see. He thinks he’s smarter than me…and he’s probably right 😉

That aside, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of yummy, yummy food. One thing I am certainly thankful for is for Jax getting out of your spam box!! Now I don’t have to trick your computer into letting me leave a comment. Ah, the simple things in life. 🙂 xo

    • I swear, I am showing these comments to my friends at work! They think they only way I should ever wear my hair is straight. I’m happy for some wavy hair validation 🙂

Yes, I’m glad you got out of spam jail, too! I did I have a yummy Thanksgiving and hope you did as well 🙂 So glad you are back and at it with blogging!

      • LOL Tell them to give me a call, and I’ll validate the wavy hair. hahaha My hair is wavy, but ugly wavy. So everyday I straighten it. But, on fancy days (lol), I straighten my hair and then make it wavy with a curling iron. But pretty wavy, like yours!! Embrace it 🙂 haha

        • Ha ha ha, I’m cracking up. So you straighten your wavy hair, only to put the waves back in?? I think you need to post a picture of your wavy hair, because I don’t believe you one bit that it’s ugly wavy, just saying 🙂
